The SJHRA provides a brief list of criteria the Board will consider when reviewing a proposal for an endorsed partnership with the SJHRA. The criteria below was developed to guide board decisions. However the Board may consider other endorsed partnerships that do not meet the criteria if it feels the benefits to members are substantial and the partnership supports the mission and purpose of the SJHRA.

The endorsed partner is:

  1. A non-profit or for-profit organization whose goals are to educate and provide a broad-range of services to the membership.
  2. A non-profit or for-profit organization whose mission and/or purpose statement parallels the SJHRA.
  3. A non-profit or for-profit organization whose broad-range of services provide a practical use to the vast majority of the general membership.
  4. A non-profit or for-profit organization who provides a substantial savings or significant incentive to the membership that is not available to the general public.
  5. A non-profit or for-profit organization who provides the SJHRA a valuable service such as rebates for products, free speakers for functions, etc., or the incentives provided in some way compensate the SJHRA for any lost revenue.
  6. A non-profit or for-profit organization whose broad-range of services provided to the membership do not in any way incur a cost to the SJHRA.
  7. A non-profit or for-profit organization who agrees and signs an “Endorsed Partnership Agreement” that includes provisions for limited length of partnership and early termination of the partnership with reasonable notice.

Written proposals should be submitted to the President of the Chapter either by US Mail or by email to info@sjhra.org and are then presented to the Executive Board of Directors for review and approval. Endorsed partnerships will only be entered into if the majority of the Board votes to approve the proposal.

Should any endorsed partnership in any way adversely affect the membership, SJHRA’s financial stability, or the reputation of the SJHRA, or if the partnerships proved to be administratively burdensome, the board will motion to dissolve the partnership. Any member of the Board of Directors may make a motion to dissolve an endorsed partnership.
